Some suggestions from my brother,
Jerry.
* His class wanted to do something different, sick
of same old, same old. Emphasis on visiting with one
another, socializing.
* They reserved 6-7 rooms at
Carrollton Inn.
* They decided to offer a lot, knowing that some
might make Friday, but not Saturday or Thursday etc.
Who can or wants to make it, will.
* They formed a committee (it varied, 5-6-7) and met
once a month, kind of, starting the year before.
* Big thing they did, besides the
obvious planning stuff, was they divided their class
into small groups and then had members contact other
members.....constantly.....people were responsible
for say, 2-3 or 4.....drumming up interest to get
people to show up.
*He said the highlight was the program.
So here is what they did,
Jerilyn's class and a possible suggestion for
us....but only a suggestion. We have to start
somewhere...I am good with anything, large or small:

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I checked into that new shelter
house by the pool. The old shelter house, that they
will tear down, the Tryons rented for July 4th for
$30, with a $30 deposit.......The NEW ONE is $50 to
rent and $50 deposit.....($100 if you have
alcohol).....
The new one has:
a TV
Air Conditioning
Wonderful tables, both outside and inside.
Some kind of kitchen.
Restroom or Restrooms.
And I think plenty of room........but I only looked
thru the windows. Here is a picture:
Here is a scan of the Program that
my brother Jerry's class used.....front/back and was
folded up.
This was for the Saturday Night festivities.

support any decisions or suggestions others may
have....We can do anything that we want....Large or
Small......I have NO desire to lead this.....I am Only Pawn In Game Of Life.
