Return With Us To Those Thrilling Days Of Yesteryear....
When I was a kid,  Westerns were all over the television programming. Everywhere there was Davy Crockett, Roy Rogers, Gene Autry, The Cisco Kid and I loved them all. My niece found this old picture of me (black cowboy hat) my brother Randy, sister Nancy and a few nieces and nephews, sitting in front of our little black and white TV watching a Western. We used to use pillows as horses. Some of you know what I mean. Well, earlier this year, while babysitting, Grandpa had to show my little Cowgirls what REAL entertainment was.....enjoy. It has to bring back some memories for you.

HAPPY TRAILS......
This is what I do since retiring from the education wars. I read history in the winter and then travel in the summer. Usually a trip or two. Lately it has been out West. I enjoy walking around battlefields. I have been to most of the Civil War sites in the East and the past 4-5 years I have been walking the trails of the US Cavalry and the great warriors of the Plains. I also love to explore old forts. I am lucky to have a brother in law that is also passionate about history. We took two trips last summer and got into Cheyenne tribal history at Dull Knife College and got a personal tour of Dull Knife Battlefield (private property) and we also hit the Mountain Man areas of Western Wyoming. Not to bore you, but here is an 8 minute slide show of very nice scenery and music. (it is a pretty large file and you  may have trouble playing, sorry)

You might have to wait for it to load, it is a large file. Depends on you internet speed and computer.
